Vendor Meet - 17^th January 2018 at CLW

 

A Vendor Meet was organized by CLW on 17^th January, 2018 in the Chittaranjan Club. Agenda of Vendor Meet :

 

·         Critical items needed at enhanced rate of supply during Jan –March 2018 (about 150 LS)

·         Reverse Auction

·         Vendor approval system

·         Monthly supply capacity of vendors

·         Performance based ordering in phases – RC model

·         Purchase preference  to “Make in India” under Govt of India’s PPO 2017

·         Ordering on sources meeting the criteria for interim approval

·         Development of Vendors

·         New items under development

·         Long Term Contracting

·         Bid Document

·         Progress of digitalization in Purchase

·         Discussion on suggestions received from Vendors

 

About 134 vendors from all over the India including Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), official from BHEL, ABB, Siemens, Medha, Texmaco, CGL, NBC & other approved sources / new sources  have participated in the meet.  Presentation on materials requirement, development of items, progress in digitization, long term contracting, purchase preference to MSE and local suppliers under PPO and cost reduction was given by Stores Department.  Procedure for vendor development, monitoring of warranty rejections and new technological development was discussed and presented by D&D/ CLW.

 Meet was attended by all the concerned officers of Electrical, Stores, Mechanical and Finance and addressed by S.K. Rai, PCMM,  A.K. Singhal, PCEE,   R. Arora, PCME and Ashok Kumar, CVO and other Senior Officers.  Meeting was concluded with the address by Shri V.P. Pathak, General Manager highlighting the initiative taken by CLW for broadening the vendor base, development of new vendors, long term contracting and performance base ordering for selected items and digitization of purchase processes.

 The participating Vendors interacted about the various concerning issues, visited the Shop and Stores area to see the various items/manufacturing activities of their interest and also submitted feedback which is summarised as under

Vender Meet on 12th November-2016

 

Vendor Meet was organized by Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW)  in Chittaranjan Club on 12^th November 2016.  Shri C.P. Tayal, General Manager inaugurated the Vendor Meet as Chief Guest. 

 About 130 Vendors from all over the country including Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC), official from CII, MSME and NSIC have participated in the Meet.  Shri B.B. Singh, Chief Electrical Engineer, Shri S. Barik, Controller of Stores along with other Principal Heads of Departments of CLW, Shri Ashok Kumar, Director/Rly. Board and other Officers from CLW were present during the Meet.  Shri S.K. Sen, Asstt. Director, MSME and Mohd. Razique Khan, Deputy Manager, NSIC spoke about their registration procedure. Shri P.N. Pandey, Chief Materials Manager (CMM / CLW) explained on purchase procedure, e-procurement system and expectation from industries and vendors. Sri M.K.Gupta CEE/L&S spoke about vendor development procedures.  In the last there was open house question-answer session wherein vendors interacted with the officials and got their queries clarified. 

COS emphasized to respond promptly for quality issue specially the warranty rejection and ensure supply of item as per the requirement of CLW.  CEE advised for capacity augmentation and product improvement duly sorting out the quality problem. Mr. Ashok Barat of CII spoke about the industries issue and their association with  Railways.  Shri Ashok Kumar, Director/Rly. Board informed that Vendor Meet have been organized by Railways to encourage participation of Industries specially the new vendors in development of Railway and thanked to organizer and industries for making Meet as grand success.  

The Meet was concluded with the address of Shri C.P. Tayal, GM/CLW who talked about the various Government measure taken to encourage the Industries and new Entrepreneur and wished that such Meets will be much beneficial both for Industries as well as CLW to augment the capacity and quality. GM also expressed pleasure about the massive participation from various industries for the Meet and hoped that such interaction will help more vendors to participate in procurement process of CLW.

Vendor Meet /वेंडर मीट

 

सुक्ष्म एवं लघु उद्यमों हेतु सम्मेलन

क्रय में सुक्ष्म एवं लघु उद्यमों की भागीदारी बढ़ाने हेतु ऐसे उद्यमियों का सम्मेलन दिनांक 23 नवम्वर तथा 30 नवम्वर 2015 को चिरेका द्वारा आयोजित किया गया।  पहला सम्मेलन दिनांक 23 नवम्वर 2015 को यांत्रिक एवं सेवा क्षेत्र के उद्यमों तथा दूसरा सम्मेलन दिनांक 30 नवम्वर 2015 में विद्युत तथा अन्य क्षेत्र के उद्यमों हेतु रखा गया।  दिनांक 23 नवम्वर 2015 के सम्मेलन का उद्घाटन एवं सम्बोधन महाप्रवंघक श्री सी.पी. तायल द्वारा किया गया। 

सम्मेलन में विभिन्न वक्तओं द्वारा क्रय पालिसी, सुक्ष्म एवं लघु उद्यमों हेतु भारत सरकार द्वारा जारी निर्देशो एवं उसके उपयोग हेतु प्रक्रियाऒं पर प्रकाश डाला गया।

सम्मेलन में करीब 100 उद्यमी प्रथम वैठक तथा करीब 75 उद्यमी दूसरे वैठक में प्रतिभागी रहे।  इस कार्यक्रम के बाद उद्यमियों को कारखाने तथा सामग्री भंडारण क्षेत्रों को भी दिखाया गया।

 

Micro and Small Enterprises Vendor Meet

 Meet for Micro and Small Scale Enterprises on 23^rd November, 2015 & 30^th November, 2015 was organized by Materials  Department/CLW with MSME/Kolkata and NSIC/Durgapur in two parts, under State level Vendor Development Programme. 1^st part of Meet was held on 23^rd November, 2015 for Mechanical and Service Sectors and 2^nd part of Meet was held on 30^th November. 2015 for Electrical and other allied sectors. 

Meet on 23^rd November, 2015 was inaugurated and addressed by Sri C P Tayal, General Manager/CLW.  During the Meet, officials from CLW, NSIC and MSME spoke on the procurement policy, preferential treatment extended to MSEs and Vendor Development Procedures along during their presentation.

The Meet was attended by about 100 Vendors on 1^st day and about 75 Vendors on the 2^nd day.
