Introduction
The ELAAU/DANKUNI unit is headed by Principal Chief Electrical Engineer/Dankuni. He is assisted by Dy. Chief Mechanical Engineer, Dy. Chief Electrical Engineer, Asst. Works Manager and Asst. Electrical Engineer.
Electric Loco Assembly & Ancillary Unit of CLW, Dankuni became functional w.e.f. 02.06.2014. Loco (WAG-9H) production activities started in November 2015 and 1st Locomotive was rolled out on 08.03.2016. Milestone of rolling out of the 350th locomotive was achieved on 12.08.2023. The Unit has obtained ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & OHSAS 18001:2007 certifications in January 2018, 5S certification in November 2018& ISO 50001:2018 certification in March 2021. As a green energy initiative, one 500 KWp capacity roof mounted Solar Power Plant with the provision of excess energy feedback to WBSEDCL grid is working since its commissioning in November 2019.
