Shri Satish Kumar Kashyup, an officer of Indian Railways Service of Electrical Engineer (IRSEE) of 1983 batch has taken over the charge of Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) on 26th November 2020(AN). Prior to this, he was Director General, India Railway Institute of Electrical Engineering (IRIEEN)/Nasik, Maharashtra. Shri Kashyup comes with strong technical background and has expertise in various facets of Railway working. In his long career of nearly 35 years, he has worked in important posts. He was Divisional Railway Manager in Hon’ble PM’s constituency, Varanasi and Pr. Chief Electrical Engineer in BLW (erstwhile DLW)/ Varanasi. He has extensively worked on various prestigious electrical construction projects over IR & in Delhi Metro Rail Corporation(DMRC). He has also have long experience of rolling stock maintenance and operation, be it Electrical Multiple Units (EMU), AC coaches and Locomotives. He has also worked as Director in Ministry of Commerce (MOC), and was associated with development of e-tender platform with NIC. He was also Chief Safety Officer (CSO) in North Central Railway, Prayagraj, one of the important zone of IR.
He is MBA from IIM Ahmadabad & had training in Switzerland for Transfer of Technology (TOT) of ABB Electric locomotives and in Germany on CNC machines. He also attended module on “Project Cycle Management” by ILO in Italy and attended leadership programme from Bucconni Business School, Milan, Italy.
